   Dry type transformers are a safe and reliable solution for transformers that need to be placed inside a building. Unlike liquid filled transformers, a dry type transformer is ideal for schools, hospitals, underground tunnels, high-rise buildings or anywhere that fire is a concern because they are fire-resistant and do not require fire proof vaults or ventilation.

 

   Dry type transformers do not require oil or silicone or any other liquid to cool it's electrical core and coils. A dry type transformer is cooled by its normal air ventilation. Since there is no liquid to cool, they are safe for the environment and have proven to be highly reliable with low maintenance.
